The Domchanch police carried out raid after a tip-off at a stone crusher on Thursday and seized explosive materials. The police arrested and registered a case against the owner Manjit alias Mintu Kumar Mehta.
Police have seized 2441 small detonators,175 pieces of large detonators, 18 sticks of large power gel and 635 sticks of small power gel detonating cord from the stone quarry near Chanchal Pahari under Domchanch PS. Sudhir Kumar Poddar, PS incharge, said, “The owner is instructed to produce documents of seized materials. The accused have been booked under the Indian Explosive substance Act. The Police also probing for any suspected link with anti-social elements, terror outfits or Naxal elements.”
