In a significant development ESL Steel Limited continuing on its path of public welfare in communities it is present in, greatly focuses on Healthcare as one of the core areas of interventions through its CSR initiatives. Under the aegis of its Flagship Healthcare initiative, Project AAROGYA run in collaboration with Citizens Foundation and in convergence with District Health Department, has transformed a non-functional Primary Health Centre in Dhandabar into a thriving primary Healthcare Facility. Through Project AAROGYA, ESL Steel Limited is relentlessly serving more than 100 villagers daily, whether it is at its Dhandabar Primary Health Centre or through its Mobile Health Unit which serves all 27 villages .
Notably to further enhance healthcare facilities for the women & adolescent girls in the community, ESL Steel Limited CSR’s Project AAROGYA has introduced Gynaecological Consultation service at Dhandabar Primary Health Centre. Senior Gynaecologist & Infertility Specialist Dr. Jyoti Gupta has consented to fortnightly visits to the centre and would be focusing on preventing gynaecological diseases. With the aim of bringing relief to the women & young girls of the area, Dr. Gupta who has more than 25 years of experience has been engaged. The impact of this initiative has been quite significant and has garnered appreciation from various stakeholders. In her 3 visits, more than 100 women availed her services, were given proper guidance and free medications.
