Enforcement of cow protection law need of the hour: Togadia

PNS

Vishwa Hindu Parishad International Working President Pravin Togadia on Friday said that serious steps must be taken to enforce cow protection law in the country. He said that it is the need of the hour.

Addressing a press meet at Chamber Bhawan in Bistupur, the leader said the government should take immediate steps towards enforcing cow protection law in the country. He lamented that the central government has failed on this front.

“It is a serious issue in the country and must be addressed. We have evidence about one lakh cows being transported to Bangaldesh. There are talks about cow vigilantes but no discussion takes place when it comes to cow slaughtering. It is really shocking that thousand of cows are being slaughtered but there are no talks on this front. Cow protection law should be strongly enforced in the country,” Togadia said.

He said that the people involved in the act must be punished and no steps were being taken against cow slaughtering. “It’s a failure of the central government on not stopping cow slaughter,” the VHP leader said.

"We also suggest that the Union Home Ministry's advisory to state administrations should also clarify that authorised people and entities working for the important task of cow protection should not be harassed. We are confident that the Centre will take the work of saints and organisations towards cow protection to newer heights," Togadia said.

He also said the Government should take tough measures to tackle the Kashmir issue. “It is really saddening that Pakistani agents looted EVMs and destroyed booths in the valley in the by-elections. They also insulted our CRPF jawans. Carpet bombing was needed to rein in these stone pelters (Pakistani agents). United States dropped 10,000 kg non-nucleur bomb on network of caves and tunnel used by Islamic State in eastern Afghainstan. India should also use carpet bombs on Pakistani agents. There should no dialogue with Pakistan now,” Togadia said.

He said that he was confident that the Prime Minister would initiate steps to bring back Kulbhushan Jadhav who has been handed out a death sentence by Islamabad for alleged spying.

On when the Ram temple will be built in Ayodhya, Togadia said it is possible by three Ps –People, Parliament and Prime Minister.  “law can be enacted in parliament to build the temple in Ayodhya.”
