The inauguration ceremony of Energy Conservation Week, celebrated from 14 December to 20 December at Bokaro Steel Plant, was held at the Human Resource Development Center of the Coke Oven and Bio Product Plant. Executive Director (Works) Atanu Bhowmik, Chief General Manager (EMD) SK Sahu, Chief General Manager (Services) BK Tiwari, General Manager Incharge (CO & BPP) I Das, other preferred officers and personnel were present during the function.
Chief General Manager (EMD) SK Sahu welcomed the Chief Guest and all the dignitaries and highlighted the importance of conserving energy in daily life along with BSL. Bhowmik presented a keynote address focusing on the efforts being made for energy conservation at Bokaro Steel Plant and gave a message to make energy conservation an integral part of every citizen's life. He also appealed to raise awareness about energy conservation for the benefit of society.
In the programme, General Manager (EMD) PK Bhui gave a presentation on the current energy scenario of BSL and informed about the steps taken by various shops of the plant to reduce energy consumption. At the end of the programme, a quiz competition was organised for officers and personnel and the winners were awarded a token gift by Chief General Manager (EMD) SK Sahu and General Manager-in-Charge (CO & BPP) I Das. The programme was conducted by Manager (EMD) Sneha Shraddha.
