The holy month of Ramadan came to an end with the sight of the spectacular crescent moon and marked the beginning of the festival of Eid ul-Fitr. The official announcement of the moon sighting came from Imarat-Sharia in Patna. Eid is a festival of great joy in the lives of peoplein which they wear the best of attires, prepare delicacies, greet one another and celebrate brotherhood.
Chief Minister, Raghubar Das congratulated the people of Jharkhand in his tweet on the festival. He had also inaugurated Jharkhand’s first Haj House in the city on Tuesday.
The preparation for Eid ul-Fitr in the city had started early on. Shops were giving away discounts and catchy coupons for people to greet the festival with new clothes and eatables. Men clad in white, women in shiny attires and children in traditional outfits were seen exchanging wishes on the streets of Ranchi.
In addition to this the main road area of the city was lined up with stalls of vermicelli, dry fruits, perfumes and sweets.
Like every year Salman Khan dropped yet another film of his at the box office on the festival of Eid ul-Fitr. This time it was ‘Bharat’. The film proved to be an enjoyable retreat for people to enjoy the day with their near and dear ones.
The city police had strengthened their security system in the entire city in order to avoid any kind of mishap.
In addition to this they took a major step by putting social media under scanner on the festival to monitor the online platform for any kind of disturbance.
