Doctors’ Wives Association celebrated its 15th Anniversary on Wednesday at Ranchi Gymkhana Club. It was a joyous day as the members got together to mark the momentous occasion.
The programme commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp by the Chairperson Vinita Sharan and Co-chairperson Jhooma Sarkar. A Shiv Tandav was performed by Deepa Chauhan. President Kamlesh Midha welcomed the members and Secretary Arti Singh presented the Annual Report and Vote of Thanks.
The show was anchored by the lively Jhooma Sarkar, the founder of Doctors’ Wives Association. It was her vision and initiative which bore fruit and the Association was formed in 2006. The main objective of DWA is to provide a platform for the doctors’ wives to meet, get to know each other, bond together and involve themselves in Social Outreach programmes.
In keeping with the DWA tradition, members’ children who have successfully appeared for their 10th & 12th Board Exams (for the years 2020 & 2021) were honoured for their achievements. They were presented a memento each for their efforts. The programme also had games, including Tambola. The highlight of the celebrations was a rocking Karaoke session.
