Being recognised as a bauxite city the district has turned into a polluted one. People are gripped by various diseases. In the middle of the city, a dumping yard by established by aluminum company. Here many a trucks upload the bauxite and then carried by JCB to goods carrier.
The people are suffering from disease caused by dust. The ropeway is also being changed and the people living under the areas are clutched with the fear of any accidental case. Many people raised the matter but in vain. The people living in the city are suffering from many dust diseases. The surgeon Dr Ganesh Prasad told that dust particles give rise to many diseases as TB, Asthma, Pneumoconiosis, Pneumonia, weakening of lungs, skin disease, white hair, dermatitis and loss of immunity.
MlA KK Bhagat had said that the dumping yard would be shifted to some remote place and an aluminum factory would be established. But as the time spent he could not fulfill his promises.
