Inter State Bus Terminal will be constructed by the municipal corporation in Hazaribag town. The cost of ISBT would be near about `15 crore. The amount will be arranged from 15th finance commission.
The tender of the construction will be published in the month of July this year.
Town Commissioner Madhavi Mishra said that the proposal of construction of ISBT was made ready by the municipality of Hazaribag many times but due to lack of accurate location it was always pending.
“This time we have decided to construct the Inter State Bus Terminal near the dumping yard at Khergaon near the bypass road of
Hazaribag town. The Detail Project Report (DPR) was prepared by the Aditya construction company. We will get the administrative sanction very soon,” she said.
Mishra further said that the tender of the work will be published in the month of July and work will start immediately.
In ISBT campus there will be provision of a market complex, rest house and video games. This project will be completed within two and half years.
This project was brought by former MP and union minister Yashwant Sinha during his tenure. Due to controversy in the selection of land it was pending in the municipal corporation.
