Does old loyalty hold any significance to Congress, asks Jayaswal

Distraught over the incorrect policies of the Pradesh Congress, Aditya Vikram Jayaswal, the fifth generation of the Jayaswal family associated with the freedom movement, expresses deep sorrow for not being able to meet the respected Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra in Ranchi. Jayaswal criticised the Pradesh Congress Committee's lack of a clear plan, leading to disappointment among Congress supporters. He emphasizes that Rahul Gandhi is loved by all, and it's disheartening not to have an audience with him due to the Pradesh Congress's directionless approach.

Notably, during the 1940 Ramgarh Congress Convention where Mahatma Gandhi attended, a car used by Bapu during that time was placed in front of the Deendayal statue today to welcome Rahul Gandhi. However, due to the Pradesh Congress's lack of proper direction, Rahul Gandhi did not pay homage there.

It's worth mentioning that in 1940, when Mahatma Gandhi attended the Jharkhand’s Ramgarh Congress Convention, he was a guest of Rai Bahadur Lakshminarayan Jayaswal. Lakshmi Narayan Ji had taken him to Ramgarh in his Ford car.

“I still have that memorable car in my possession today. The car that Bapu used to travel to Ramgarh was with select individuals in Ranchi at that time. My grandfather, who was a Congress legislator in 1932 and was actively involved in the freedom movement, was given poison as part of a conspiracy by the British and was martyred. After that, in 1971, my grandfather Raja Ramashastri remained an MP, and he was also awarded a Tamra Patra. My family donated the land of Birsa Munda's memorial site, built schools and hospitals for the poor, and dedicated heart and soul to the Congress party. But does the old Congress legacy or the family hold any significance in the Congress party today?” asked Jayaswal.
