The flash floods that wreaked havoc at Uttarakhand has not only made man pay a hefty price for encroaching upon his natural surroundings but also brought forth its compassionate side. On the occasion of Doctors’ Day celebrated on July 1, Indian Medical Association (IMA) Ranchi is going to organise a function dedicated for the victims of Uttarakhand. Besides doctors, common people are also asked to give their contributions in raising the relief materials for those stranded in the area.

Dr Bharti Kashyap said, “We are gathering in IMA Bhawan for a noble cause. We want that more and more people should come forward to contribute in raising relief funds for Uttarakhand victims”.

Dr BP Kashyap, secretary of IMA, Ranchi said, “All the doctors across the city who will attend the function and will take an oath to provide the victims both financial and medical help. For this IMA is making all the efforts”.

“Indian Government has taken all the relief and rescue measures properly. Sending doctors without their demand will only create chaos there, so we are raising relief fund for the victims as a part of our contribution for the victims. If any kind of demand comes from the Government side then our team is always ready to provide our help to Uttarakhand suffers.

IMA has always been ahead in providing help to the victims of natural disasters “, said Dr RC Jha, former secretary of IMA Jharkhand.
