Hazaribagh district administration with the help of some concerned social workers in the chilling cold night, when mercury was below 10 degrees Celcius, arranged for comfortable night shelter to more than 5000 youths who had arrived here to appear in the exam of Indian Rserve Bttalion (IRB) which took place on Sunday at different centers in the town.

last month the denizens had witnessed the trouble of youths who had arrived from different districts and states to Hazaribagh to appear in a competitive exam held here.

At that time the cold season had just started and when the denizens saw youths sleeping in open at different places of the town, everyone got stunned.

On Saturday evening once again the crowd of examinees  were roaming in the city in search of hotels, rest houses etc. This time the mercury was below 10 degree Celsius so people started talking and thinking about the problem the guests of the town will have to face.

In the meantime some journalists along with social workers of RSS and other organizations started arranging shelters for the examinees. But the number of examinees was so high that they soon felt that this problem cannot be solved without assistance from district administration.

They talked with DC Ravishankar Shukla who immediately deputed his officials and staff to provide comfortable night stay to the examinees arrived from different places.

The examinees roaming in the streets were given space in indoor stadium, main stadium, DVC hall and in circuit house. When all examinees got accommodated, the officials including SDO Aditya Ranjan arranged pillows, blankets, cushions etc. for them and thus all guests spent the night without any suffering and fear. This step of district administration and enthusiastic social workers of Hazaribagh was in talks today everywhere.

The guests as well as  the conscious denizens of Hazaribagh town   thanked all who were a part of this initiative.

They  said that this step of district administration has not only reestablished our ancient tradition of “Atithi Devo Bhawa” but has shown a path to other districts also where competitive examination centers take place most often without considering the accommodation capacity of the town or city.
