There is the pious ambiance everywhere as the Chhath mahaparva started with Nahay-khay on Sunday. The Chhath devotees offered the Kaddu-bhat to God and then took the prasads. On November 16, there would be Kharna and on November 17, devotees would offer prayers to setting sun and finally the rising sun would be offered prayer on November 18.
DC Manjunath Bhajantri visited many ponds and inspected ongoing cleaning of Chhath ghats. He was accompanied by SDO Ravi Shankar Shukla. They instructed the municipal department to complete the cleaning work in time and make the process fast.
