Denizens kept distance from demonetisation rhetoric

RR Srivastava

Today was the first anniversary of a historic decision of independent India which made the people acquainted with the word "Demonetisation".

On one hand BJP and its allies celebrated the day as anti black money day, Congress and other Opposition parties on the other hand protested it by calling it a black day of Indian history.

In Hazaribagh too the workers of both BJP and Congress came out in the streets as per the decision and directives of their high command. But people's response to both was the same as denizens kept themselves away from both.

The BJP workers came out in the streets singing and dancing on the tunes of dhol tasha and DJ to celebrate the day as anti-black money day.

More than 100 BJP workers took part in this rally cum procession which started from Chatth pond to Jhanda chowk of the town. At jhanda chowk it converted into small nukkad sabha in which many local leaders including MlA Manish Jaiswal, MlA Barkattha Janki Prasad Yadav, state spokes person Din Dayal Varnaval, state training head Ganesh Mishra and others expressed their views on this bold decision of Modi Government.

On the other hand the Congress workers first gathered at local office and proceeded towards bus stand in a rally shouting slogans against the decisions of demonetization and GST.

The workers of youth congress led by its president Shailendra Kumar Yadav alias Tinku Yadav were holding banners and posters in their hands with messages of black day. From bus stand the congress workers proceeded to Ranchi to take part in the proposed Raj Bhawan gherao programme.

But the BJP's state training head Ganesh Mishra said that it was historic decision taken by PM Narendra Modi one year ago which broke the back bone of extremists, naxalites and black money holders. He said that though opposition criticised it, the public gave full support to this decision.

State spokesperson Din Dayal Varnawal said that it is due to PM Narendra Modi today, the developed countries of the world are looking at India with respect, and everywhere talks are on that our country is going to be an economic super power of the world soon. The opposition parties have lost their mental balance so they are now taking support of the corrupt people of the society, he added.

MlA Manish Jaiswal and Janki Yadav said that both Demonetisation and GST are the game changing decisions which will change the fate of the country in the days

 to come.
