On Friday after going through a message on Whatsapp, DC Hazaribagh, Mukesh Kumar responded and saved a newborn, who was going to be sold. The poor parents of that new born baby were not able to pay the bill of nursing home so the owner of the nursing home was going to sell him for his bill.
On August 25, Sangeeta Devi, a resident of Kutipishi village of Padma block, was brought to Hazaribagh by Sahiya Kanchan Devi for delivery. She admitted her in Jan Kalyan Nursing Home situated in Okni Muhalla of Hazaribagh town. After surgery, she gave birth to a twin. Doctor suggested Sangeeta Devi and her husband Vinay Kumar Bhuinyan to get the new born checked by a pediatric doctor because both are very weak and their condition is deteriorating.
They left the Jan Kalyan Nursing Home after two days. They paid Rs15,000 there. The pimps transferred them to another nursing home named Jeevan Anmol Nursing Home situated in same location. The owner of this nursing home is Subodh Kumar Gupta, who calls doctors as per requirement. In this nursing home, the new born babies were kept for nine days.
When the parents demanded to release the kids, a bill of Rs70,000 was given to them. Since the father was unable to pay such a huge amount, he prayed to curtail the bill. The nursing home owner flatly refused and gave an offer to give one new born to him in place of the bill. According to sources, his intention was to sell the baby to a couple and the deal was almost final.
When father Vinay Kumar Bhuinyan felt helpless, he came out of the nursing home as he was not feeling well there. He reached to main road and then started crying. When some shopkeepers noticed it, they tried to know the cause. Bhuinyan told the story and someone recorded it and posted it on Whatsapp.
DC Mukesh Kumar saw it and immediately sent BDO Rahul Verma to the nursing home where he enquired the matter and ordered the nursing home owner to hand over both the kids to the parents. Thus technology and quick response of tech-savvy DC Mukesh Kumar brought smile on the faces of parents of just 11-day-old kids.
