Deputy Commissioner Palamu, Ameet Kumar on Monday inaugurated a 25 seat Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in a 105 bed capacity P C Jain Sewa Sadan here in Daltonganj. Palamu SP Patel Mayur Kanhaiya lal also graced the occasion.
According to the secretary of the sewa sadan Suresh Jain the inauguration was a dry run. No infant was seated in this new Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)as too many footfall in the NICU would have caused infections. The inaugurated NICU would be disinfected before infants would be brought in here Jain said.
A noted infant specialist Vikas Agarwal is the brain behind this NICU said Suresh Jain.
