On Saturday an important meeting was held in district collectorate for program ‘Our Scheme Our Development’ launched by the Rural Development Department. DC Mukesh Kumar sat with the officials and discussed on every aspect of this program.
The DC said that under this program new developmental programs will be finalised by the villagers themselves as per the requirement and resources of their area. They will make schemes which will be completed within two years by the amount given by 14th Finance Commission. Small schemes will be sanctioned at block level while big schemes will be approved at district level.
There will be a State resource committee which will not only monitor the entire activities but also give technical assistance for implementation of the approved schemes.
At district and block levels also there will be committees to monitor, give technical assistance and to help the villagers in making schemes. In this meeting committees were formed for both district and block levels. DC will be the chairman of district committee while Block Development Officer will chair the block level committees.
For the success of this program initially the district administration will launch ‘Make Scheme Campaign’. In making schemes for the villages the idea of both development and hundred day employment to the villagers will be at the center, said DC Kumar. Almost all the officials of the district administration and other concerned departments were present in this meeting.
