Tragedy struck at Ram Nagar Colony Chas in Bokaro when a teenage girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the roof of her house. Following the incident her mother, who went into a shock, swallowed Sulphas tablet and the grandfather got fatal heart attack.
Scolded by her mother, Anchala Kumar (17), a student of Intermediate, hanged herself under Chas police station on Thursday night.
Shocked over the death of her daughter Malti Devi consumed Sulphas tables to end her life, police said.
The grandfather of the deceased, after the incident, suffered from a fatal heart attack.
He was immediately rushed to the Bokaro General Hospital, where the conditions of both are said to be critical, hospital authority said.
Body has been sent for postmortem, an investigation into matter is being conducted, said Officer-in-Charge of local police station.
