The date of becoming a member of CPRMS-NE(Modified) [Contributory Post Retirement Medicare Scheme] for non-executive employees of CIL/Subsidiaries who retired before 01.07.2016 [i.e. operation of "10th" Wage Agreement for CIL & SCCL"] including members of CPRMS-NE (2014), has been extended till 31.03.2021.
Further, for non-executives of CIL/Subsidiaries who retired/separated during the operation of the “10th” Wage Agreement for CIL and SCCL, have also been given a chance of becoming
member of the scheme by depositing the balance or entire amount of membership contribution of CPRMS-NE (Modified), as applicable by 31.03.2021.
The membership contribution for becoming members under CPRMS-NE(Modified) Scheme is Rs. 40,000. Any employee who joins this scheme can avail treatment up to Rs 8 Lakh and in case of serious medical illness the amount can be increased.
