Former Chief Minister and BJP national vice president Raghubar Das on Monday claimed that people of the State are being fooled by the Mahagathbandhan government for the last two years with only false promises.

Das was talking to media persons at the party office on Monday. He said that the present government is being run by syndicate, mafia and middlemen, due to which there is unabated exploitation of mineral resources such as illegal cutting of trees, illegal mining of mineral resources.

He said that the present government is being run by commission agents as commission has to be paid in every work. The former Chief Minister also targeted the State Government in failure to meet people’s expectations saying that many promises of the JMM/Congress government are yet to be fulfilled.

He said that the previous BJP government had provided jobs to more than lakh candidates after preparing the state recruitment policy under which Hindi, English, Urdu, Bangla, Sanskrit and nine regional languages but the present government has failed to provide jobs.

Das further claimed that Congress is using the government to loot Jharkhand and fill the coffers.  He said, “In the last two years, no concrete development has taken place in Jharkhand and to fool the voters, crores of taxpayers' money was spent at the function organised in Ranchi on the government’s second anniversary.”

The former chief minister said that the present government claims to be a well-wisher of tribals, but under the JMM/Congress government maximum exploitation of tribals has occurred in the State. Those who were present on the occasion included BJP media in-charge Shiv Pujan Pathak and State BJP spokesperson Saroj Singh among others.

Meanwhile, in another development a delegation of BJP leaders headed by former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi met Governor Ramesh Bais and submitted him a memorandum demanding CBI probe over the Simdega mob-lynching incident. The delegation included former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, national secretary and Mayor Asha Lakra, BJP SC morcha president Amar Bauri, Balmukud Sahay and others.  The State BJP leadership has taken the mob lynching incident at Besrajara village under Kolebira police station of Simdega district seriously, in which a youth Sanju Pradhan was burnt to death by an unruly mob.  On last Friday, a high-level delegation of the State BJP headed by State BJP legislative party leader Babulal Marandi visited Besrajara village and met the widow and other family members of late Sanju Pradhan.

Marandi, later talking to the media persons said that the incident is not simple, but there is big conspiracy behind the incident. An attempt is being made to cover up the incident by putting the theory of illegal cutting down of trees. The BJP leader further said that Sanju Pradhan was protesting against the unconstitutional and prohibited works being done by some people in the region because of which some people were against him and had plotted a conspiracy to eliminate him.
