Daltonganj railway platforms under East Central railway of Dhanbad division will become more passengers’ friendly. Information suggested that three charging points for cellphones of the passengers waiting for train would be fixed at platform number 1 and 2. Till date there is no such facility for recharging the battery of the cellphones here.
The railway traffic inspector AK Sinha while confirming the development also added that railway crossings would also be upgraded. He referred to one such railway crossing gate at Kachhery road where a sliding boom is to be installed soon. There are 10 manned railway crossings and one un-manned railway crossing gate between Garhwa Road junction and Barwadeeh road junction and here the railways are trying to launch a drive for awareness among users of these gates not to risk their lives for speed and any adventure..
AK Sinha said the passengers have been sending their demand through social sites and many want waiting rooms on platform number 1 to be more cozy and comfortable. It is likely that in the first week of June the Chief Security Commissioner of Hajipur would come over here for an interaction with the locals and the passengers. Meanwhile drive to catch without ticket train passengers was also conducted at Daltonganj railway station on Sunday. A few months back the railway officials here had detected and fined a passenger who tried to pass as MP and was travelling with a woman in an AC coach.
