MGM School Principal Father R Vargis was allegedly cheated of Rs 4 lakh by cyber criminals. He lodged a case against unidentified fraudsters, at sector 4 police station.
According to the FIR, the fraudsters trapped Father Vargis by sending him an online notice demanding Rs 4 lakhs against their school income. Through a fake website of Human Resources Development, Government of India’s they asked him pay the amount and given bank account number of IndusInd Bank, New Delhi.
Later Father Vargis deposited the said amount in that bank account.
A case has been registered and we are investigating into the matter, said Vinod Kumar OC of Sector 4 police station.
