Chief Secretary R S Sharma expressing displeasure over the slow progress of the work in the 15 point programme for the development of minorities and ordered for quarterly review of physical and financial targets of the schemes covered under the programme.
He also said that set goals of the programme should be completed well within the time limit. Sharma was speaking while presiding over state level meeting on 15-Point Programme at the Project building in Ranchi.
Inquiring about the progress in 48 blocks in 16 districts directed that the programmes should be implemented effectively by modernising the educational infrastructure and madarasas in the heavily populated areas.
“The aim of the programme is to create additional employment job opportunities in the rural areas. In the current projects, minorities should have apt employment representation. The objective of the programme is to ensure that the benefits must reach to the areas where there is substantial minority population,” said the CS.
He also directed all districts to get their proposals cleared within ten days so that state level schemes could be presented to the Centre for their approval.
