Energy conservation is of crucial importance. Installation of solar power plants at panchayat bhawans all over the State will be a great usage of this energy resource. Decentralised power systems are very efficient.
Chief Secretary R S Sharma said this on Thursday at a meeting with the officers of Energy Department to discuss installation of Solar Power Plants at the Panchayat and Block Offices all over the State. The Chief Secretary, at a meeting at the Project Building, said that the panchayat bhawans were the focal point of all the activities like laying optical fibres, power supply, including administrative decisions.
He directed the officers to compile a document for revealing the present condition of panchayat bhawans, arrangement of traditional power and security arrangements in different blocks. There should be a geographic information system ( GIS) mapping of all the Panchayats and the status should be updated through Google doc he added.
