Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma today said that agencies and Anganvadi Sevikas should run special campaigns by conducting camps in all districts to connect people with Aadhaar number. She told all the district welfare officers that department should send the lists of all the Aadhar numbers rejected from July onward and ensure their registration again. The CS was holding a review meeting of the Women, Child labour and Social security department.

Verma said that Anganvadi sevikas should ensure Aadhar enrolment as per target. Expressing her discontentment over slow progress of Aadhar enrolment in Bokaro, Giridih, Sahibganj, Chatra, Ranchi and West Singhbhum the CS said that role of all Aanganbadi Sevikas and DPOs should be defined. She said that all play schools and nursery schools should be enlisted and Aadhar enrolment of all children from 0-5 years should be ensured.

The CS directed that the Anganbadi Sevikas would be responsible for getting people enrolled with Aadhar number. They will have to ascertain collection of Aadhar cards from all pannchayat post offices and distribute them among the people. It has been directed from the department that entire details of Aadhar card should be with the Anganbbadi Sevikas or block level offices so that people can be benefitted when scheme comes.
