laying stress on maintaining law and order during Ramnavmi, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma directed DCs, SSPs, SPs of all the districts to do the needful and fix responsibility at police station level to maintain law and order. She asked them to make ensure effective check posts in every police station and intensive checking. She said that all arrangements need to be done in time to maintain law and order.
Verma asked to put on alert control rooms of all the districts all the days in the week and numbers of all akhara conductors to be made available with the control rooms. She instructed the officials to conduct meeting of all akhara committees and members of Mohalla Samiti and suggest the Shanti Samiti what to do and what not in case of some accident. The CS also asked to share Information related with peace arrangement at district level with control rooms and headquarters of the State.
Verma directed to install shine boards of ‘Dos and Don’ts’ at different placesand take action on people involved in communal activities and submit charge sheets against them. She directed prohibition on sale of liquor during the festival.
The CS said that the control room should be effective and additional force, vehicles and officers. She stressed on taking the processions through fixed ways and ensure barricading at all sensitive places along with CCTV camera installation and drone invigilation. Video recording of all akharas should be done and kept in reserve. Video recording of the whole procession should be done. Physicians, ambulance and fire brigade and wireless should be arranged properly.
