A levy worth Rs50 lakhs was being asked from the contractor of road constructing from Sankh River to lukoya mod Manoj Sahu in the name of JPC. The caller told his name Delia ji and called from mobile number 7033868722. On not giving the money the contractor was threatened to be killed. Police arrested the caller and got a grant success.
Regarding the event SP Manoj Ratan Chothe said in press conference, “From 11th of July the culprit had called several times from mobile number 7033868722 and other numbers and asked for levy worth Rs 50 lakhs. In case of not giving the money till 28th of July, he was threatened to be killed. On 28th July Manoj Sahu lodged an FIR against the unknown culprit bearing case number 90/15 dated 28.072015 act 387/34. After it again the culprit called Sahu. Police reached the said place in civil dress and arrested the the culprit Md Shahid son of Abdul Kayum Khan of Tilaiya Road Chandwa, latehar. The mobile bearing the same number was discovered fro him. Shahid also told the name of another person involved in the case Javed Ansari, son of Abdul Jawar Ansari of village Boda, Chandwa district latehar.”
SP told that both the arrested persons accepted that there are many other persons involved in the case.
