The district secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Ganesh Kumar Citu has sent a fax message to the Election Commission of India to take action against DVC for violation of the Model Code of Conduct. In his letter he has said that on 31st October DVC announced about 6 hour load shedding from 1st November in 6 districts of Jharkhand due to non-payment of dues amount.
On 25th October elections in the state were announced and since DVC is an organization controlled by central government so this move can be treated as an attempt to give benefit to a specific party. If the present state government will pay the dues they will get benefitted. Thus this decision should be treated as a violation of Model Code of Conduct and strong action should be taken against the higher officials of DVC.
