Calling Badkagaon firing a shameful act by the State Government, CPI (Ml) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said that Chief Minister Raghubar Das has no right to be in power after latehar, Gola and Badkagaon incidents.
Bhattacharya, while talking to the mediapersons at party office in Ranchi on Sunday, also added that the party will launch a statewide protest against the incident from November 1 to 15 with a slogan – ‘Raghubar Hatao- Jharkhand Bachao’.
“It has been decided to start statewide protest against the incident where dharna will be staged by Kisan Mahasabha all over the State on October 21,” Bhattacharya said. later a protest yatra will be organised all over the State from November 1 – 15 where we will go among people with a slogan – Raghubar Hatao - Jharkhand Bachao, he added.
“The party will also try to corner the Government during the coming Assembly session,” he added. People are left with no other option but to launch state wide protest against this bullet and stick Government, he said.
Bhattacharya also alleged that the four villagers who lost their lives during the incident were shot very closely rather than being hit below the waist if the police intended to disperse the crowd.
“We had gone to Badkagaon on Saturday to take stock of the situation regarding incident and visited four villages of the region. After visiting the place we came to the conclusion that it was really a shameful incident where four people who got killed in the incident were shot very closely with an intention of killing them,” said Bhattacharya.
Bhattacharya further added that looking at the attitude of this Government it did not give people a feeling that it was elected by them only as it was not behaving like their own Government.
“The insensitivity in the matter could be gauged by the fact that the Chief Minister did not take the pain to visit the place even after such a tragic incident,” said the CPI General Secretary. But the Police reach there only to terrorise the poor villagers, he said.
People of the region are being compelled to hand over their land to the Government in a very well planned manner. “It is a conspiracy to make land available to the private companies in the name of coal mines,” said Bhattacharya. The CM has no right to be on the chair after latehar, Gola and Badkagaon incidents, he said.
