PNS

Single day Covid 19 recoveries outnumbered fresh cases in State Capital as 1,172 persons recuperated from the disease, while 584 fresh infections were reported in Ranchi district on Monday. Percentage wise, the number of persons who have recovered from infections is 51 per cent more than fresh cases.

The number of recoveries outnumbering fresh cases is not confined to state capital, but state across the number of recoveries is more than fresh cases. In the State on Sunday, 2776 cases were reported, but at the same time 4114 people won the battle fighting infections.

The other facts of relief are that there was no death in the State Capital on Monday. On Sunday four persons lost their lives fighting infections, three from East Singhbhum while one person died in Saraikela district.

Though there has been improvement in the recovery rate, it is still below national average. The national recovery rate is 95.30 per cent, while the state recovery rate is 90.88 per cent. Also Jharkhand is below national average in seven days growth rate and doubling rate. The seven days growth rate in Jharkhand is .85 per cent, while the national rate is .49 per cent. Similarly, the seven days doubling rate in the country is 141.64 days, while the seven days doubling rate in the State is 82.11 days. The mortality rate is 1.30 per cent, 1.28 per cent.

Corona cases across the country started growing from the first week of January this year, but from this week there has been some relief. On Sunday, 2,58,956 new cases were found in the country, while at the same time there were 391 deaths. On Saturday, 2,71,202 new cases were found in the country. If you look at the trend of the last four days, then there is a decline in the daily cases. Only 6% cases have increased, whereas in total cases had increased by 43% in last week in just four days.

Experts say that if there is stability in the average cases for 7 consecutive days or there is a trend of decreasing cases, then it can be considered as a sign of relief. Here, in Jharkhand, patients have decreased by 30% in four days. On January 13, 4000 new cases were found, whereas on January 16, 2776 new patients were found. Meanwhile, the country's R factor has also declined after two weeks.

As per sources, cases of infection have started decreasing in some places in the country. This trend is visible in metropolitan cities. Since the third wave started earlier in the metros, that's why it will end there first.
