Amidst rise in Corona cases in Jharkhand, a few weeks back the health department had issued guidelines urging the people to be cautious and follow necessary directives. But despite all this, guidelines of the department are not being followed. The department has instructed to increase the speed of Covid 19 testing; the instructions of the department are being followed.

Corona is increasing due to the carelessness of the people. The number of active patients in the State has increased to 800. At the same time, in Ranchi also the figure has reached 350. The growth rate for 7 days is 0.02 per cent, whereas the mortality rate is 1.21 per cent. As many as 162 new patients have been confirmed in the last 24 hours. One patient has died in East Singhbhum. This is the third death from Corona within 15 days. So far 5323 people have lost their lives due to corona in the state.

The rapid spread of Omicron has been confirmed in the State after the start of the genome sequencing test at RIMS. Also an alert has been issued that people are taking care. Still people are not ready to accept the Covid-19 protocol. Masks and social distancing have been forgotten. If the pace continues here, then the situation can become uncontrollable. Due to the carelessness of the people, there is a sudden increase in the number of patients.

In the last six days, 650 new infections have been found in the State. At the same time, 321 have recovered from infections. However, the new variant has not yet been confirmed in the State. But testing is very important to stop its spread.

At present, less than 10,000 tests are being conducted daily in the State. Corona testing is not being done at the airport, railway station and bus stand. In such a situation, the weekly infection rate has reached 0.02 per cent. In such a situation, it is very important to check people coming from outside. RIMS Director Dr Kameshwar Prasad said that the spread of Amicron started increasing suddenly. Therefore vigilance is necessary. Vaccination also needs to be accelerated.

The pace of vaccination is still slow in the state. According to the latest data of the Health Department, out of 2,10,46,083 of 18+, only 1,55,97,498 (74%) people have received both doses of the vaccine. That is, 26 percent have not got the second dose. At the same time, out of 23.98 lakhs aged 15 to 17 years, 14,82,083 got the first dose and 8,88,988 got the second dose.
