Now the denizens of Hazaribagh will have to wait only 29 days more for the gift promised by their MP Yashwant Sinha in early 90s, when he was the Finance Minister of India in PM Chandrashekhar’s government. This Dhanteras, Hazaribagh is going to get a gift which was in their dreams since independence.

On November 1, an engine of Indian Railway will arrive at Hazaribagh station. Senior officers of Indian Railway who are engaged in completion of Koderma-Hazaribagh-Barkakana-Ranchi rail line project had informed about it to MP Yashwant Sinha. On Tuesday, chief administrative officer lM Jha, chief engineer JK Verma, assistant chief engineer AK Sinha and others met Sinha at his residence and assured him that within given timeframe the Koderma-Hazaribagh rail line construction work will be completed.

In July 2013, while reviewing the progress of Hazaribagh rail line project MP Sinha had given the time limit of October 31 for completion of Koderma-Hazaribagh rail line. Sources said that construction work in a patch of 3 kms range had been disrupted then after the old contractor has filed a case after being debarred. That three km area is dominated by hard rocks and it takes time to cut the hard rocks. After hearing the railway officials Yashwant had given them 4 month time with an instruction that work should be completed within this timeframe.

On November it is Dhanteras, the day on which everyone buys something. So this Deepawali Hazaribagh will get a bumper gift from their representative in the parliament, Yashwant Sinha, which will be rail link. Though many people and politicians will claim their credit but the denizens of Hazaribagh know that this will be a gift of only and only Yashwant Sinha.
