The divisional commissioner of north chotanagpur range Surendra Singh Meena has directed to the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of police of seven districts of the divison to remain vigilant to maintain the peace and harmony during Durga puja.
The commissioner has sent a letter to the DC and SP of Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Chatra, Koderma, Giridihi, Bokaro and Dhanbad on Wednesday. In this letter the commissioner has given clear cut directions that the collection of donation on the name of durga puja on National Highway by force by club members should be stopped immediately.
Strict action must be taken on such elements who is making disturbances in traffic arrengements. These elements must be sent to jail. He further directed that for proper security arrangement, special teams of police along with magistrate should be deployed near the puja pandals.
