A police team of Bokaro Thermal police station headed by officer-in charge Rajkumar Yadav on Sunday conducted massive raids at Govindpur CCl project area here and seized 3 tonnes of illegal coal and arrested six coal smugglers along with their motorcycles.
According to information from the police the police party laid as trap at the Govindpur CCl project area under the Bokaro Thermal police station here on Sunday morning after it got information that illegal coal is being transported from the project area to other destination, where six persons ,who were monitoring the transportation .
The six motorcycles bearing registration number JH-09J-3311,JH-02K-3762,JH-02P-2847,BR-28G-1540,JH-02G-0289,and passion plus with out number plate respectively were sized when moving very fast and arousing suspicion .police also arrested six persons identified as Md Samim ,Santosh Kumar Soni ,Manis Kumar ,Dinesh Kumar Mahto ,Bhuneshwar Viskarma ,Khem lal Mahto belonging to Visungrah and Bagodar ,Khetko .It is informed that after interrogationthe nabbed persons revealed that they were taking the coal to other destination .
Despite the directives of the Bokaro S.P. Kuldip Deiwedi as well as Bermo Dy SP Manoj Rai to put a break on over the sub-division, the practice is rampant in Bokaro Thermal and Nawadih areas of the Bokaro district.
