Reacting actively on concrete information the Hazaribagh police has nabbed the zonal commander of TPC Neeraj Ganjhu alias Rajnath from NH 33 near Hazaribagh court. SP Manoj Kaushik said that after getting the information a joint team of sadar and pelawal police was constituted which started special vehicle checking drive on NH 33 near Hazaribagh Court and some other places yesterday in which the zonal commander was nabbed.
Neeraj Ganjhu is the main accused of the murder of regional commander of JPC Badal who was killed by TPCmen last month in Kusumbha village. Ganjhu is also wanted in more than a dozen cases registered at Hazaribagh and Chatra districts.
SP Kaushik said that during the special vehicle checking drive last late evening a Fortuner car was stopped by the team. As the team started checking the car, the man on that car suddenly tried to escape. Alert team members caught him and brought him to my residential office which is hardly some meters away from the NH.
During investigation it became clear that the man in our custody is Neeraj Ganjhu, zonal commander of TPC. SP said that during preliminary investigation Neeraj has disclosed some information on which we are working. With the help of his mobile we are trying to fetch out some more clues about this left ultraorganization and itssympathizers,” he added.
Police has seized the Fortuner car having registration number of Bihar. From the car a pistol loaded with cartridges, mobile and some cash has been recovedred. Pelwal police has registered a case under section 147, 148, 149, 302, 27 Arms act, 17 Cl Act and produced Ganjhu before the magistrate who sent him to central jail.
