DC Manjunath Bhajantri held a meeting on Friday in the district head office. In the meeting, SP Manoj Ratan Chothe, DTO Sabbir Ahmad, SDO Saurabh Kumar Sinha, DSP Krishna Kumar, SDPO Sadiq Anwar Rijwi, executive engineer A Minz, the heads of vehicle committee and the officers of Hindalco were present. Directions to install vehicle speed boards, construction of parking lots for auto and light vehicles, implementation of no helmet no petrol rule and many other instructions were given. For construction of a by pass road, 10 to 15 houses will be affected which will be reconstructed some place else. A direction to decide the fare to Hindalco and Geomax Company was passed. The district council and municipal office will control the illegal revenue collection. It is now mandatory to fix an iron rod at right side of the auto rickshaws. The DC was informed that the school buses are overloaded with passengers. On this the DTO was directed to abide by the instructions of Supreme Court.
