Hundreds of workers of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee took out a silent candle march at Ambedkar Chowk in Doranda against the brutal killing of 28 innocent tourists in the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir and paid emotional tribute by observing silence.

Under the leadership of Health Minister of Jharkhand Government Dr. Irfan Ansari, State Congress General Secretary Alok Kumar Dubey, Chief Spokesperson Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev, General Secretary Ajay Nath Shahdev, Suren Ram, Firoz Rizvi Munna, National Secretary of Youth Congress Rajesh Singh Sunny, Mehul Dubey, the workers took out a silent candle march and paid emotional tribute to the dead.

All the activists were holding placards with messages in their hands, which read “Pathankot, Uri, Pulwama and now Pahalgam – what is the country’s National Security Advisor doing? Answer”, “Government should take accountability instead of making empty claims”, “Killing of innocent tourists is extremely sad and condemnable”, “Dark shadow of violence in peaceful valley – how long will the innocents be sacrificed?”, “You can kill the body, but not the soul – the memory of the tourists will remain immortal” and “Terrorists are not afraid of bullets, but of our unity.”

Speaking to media persons, Dr Irfan Ansari said that terrorism has no religion, we want their head.

Ansari said that when the country is sad, when mothers have lost their sons, when every heart is sad, then this is not the time for politics, but for unity and the recent terrorist attack has shaken the entire country.

The State Health Minister said, "Whenever Modi Ji goes abroad, such incidents happen. This is not a mere coincidence, it is a deep conspiracy. But this is not the time for rhetoric, this is the time to fight unitedly against terrorism. We don't want politics, we want justice."

Dr. Ansari further said, "Our entire government stands with the victims. Just like Modi Ji did a surgical strike for the martyrs of Pulwama, this time we don't want just a strike - we want their heads. The terrorists should be beheaded for such a brutal murder." He stressed, "Terrorists do not belong to any caste, religion or sect. Please do not divide this issue on the basis of caste. There can be no bigger agenda than the unity, integrity of the country and the martyrdom of the brave."

Alok Kumar Dubey told the government that the recent ruthless terrorist attack has once again pushed the entire country into a depth of pain from which it is not easy to come out and he "Where were all the security agencies? Where was the government when such a gruesome murder was committed?"

Lal Kishor Nath Shahdeo said that this attack has happened on the guests of Mother India, who had come to see the beauty of Kashmir. The terrorists trampled their dreams, families and future. This is not just an attack, it is a heinous crime against humanity. He said that the security system of the country is failing again and again and now the time has come when the government should take concrete action, not just rhetoric, he added.

During the entire program, Congress workers paid tribute to the dead by observing two minutes of silence and took a pledge that this fight against terror is not just of the government but of the entire country. The Congress family will always be ready for the safety, respect and memory of every innocent citizen.
