In a move to pacify the on-going brawl in the party on recently announced new district heads of the party in the State, on Tuesday, Jharkhand Congress released the list of district presidents in just 48 hours, the party high command had to show the way out to four district presidents.

As per the latest information provided by the State Congress, the party high command has decided to remove newly appointed district presidents of Koderma, Garhwa, Sahebganj and Ramgarh. In three districts, Ramgarh, Sahebganj and Garhwa, the District President was made from the same caste Brahmin, while no one was given place from minority, women and dalit community. Since then, MLAs, former MPs and senior leaders in the party started protesting. The matter had reached the National President and the National General Secretary of the Congress.

The main reason behind the reshuffle in the list of district heads within 48 hours is the unilateral decision of Congress State In-Charge, Avinash Pandey. It is being told that State Congress Chief, Rajesh Thakur and Congress Legislature Party Leader, Alamgir Alam met National General Secretary, KC Venugopal and urged him to release the list of district heads soon. After this, the National General Secretary instructed the State In-Charge to prepare the list soon. The in-Charge prepared the list and sent it to the high command without showing it to the State Chief and the Leader of the Legislative party. In the list that was released, the caste from which the State In-Charge comes, had the maximum number of district heads. Protest against this started.

As soon as the new list of district presidents of Jharkhand Congress was released late night on Sunday, there was uproar in the State. The former MPs got angry because there was no minority district president in any district of the State.

Early this morning Jharkhand's veteran leader and former MP, Furkan Ansari went directly to meet Congress National President, Mallikarjun Khadge to express his displeasure.

Ansari informed about the party's position in the State and said that the minority community, whose population is about 18 per cent in the State, is constantly being  marginalized by other communities. The latest example of which is the district president's list this community has played an important role in forming the coalition Government in the state but today the party is being disappointed, he added.

After listening to all the things, Kharge took cognizance and assured that a decision will be taken soon and participation of all communities in the Congress party in the State will be ensured.
