Jharkhand Congress is gearing up for Panchayati Raj convention scheduled to take place on November 11 at Jhanda Ground of Giridih. The party is feeling euphoric also because Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh would take part in the conclave, being organised for the first time on the subjects like this in the State.
Media cell of the Pradesh Congress Committee informed that besides Ramesh other senior leaders of the Congress including State party president Sukhdeo Bhagat would also participate. The party has started consultations at local level that include local Congress workers. Party MlA Sarfaraz Ahmed has been given responsibility to improve participation of the people in great numbers.
In the meanwhile, the PCC president and Minister in the Hemant Soren Government Rajendra Singh have left for Chhattisgarh on Wednesday for Assembly poll campaigning.
