The occasion was also an opportunity to those who were identified by the party for allegedly working against the party’s interests in elections to explain their position vis-à-vis the charges slapped. leaders suspended from office were also called to offer explanations before senior party functionaries before initiating final punitive action.
“I believe that if we had gone in election with alliance then we would have been in the Government today,” said Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Prasad Sahu adding that he has explained his position to the senior leaders of the party and overhauling in the setup is required in the aftermath of the ignominious defeat in elections.
