With the entire country fighting against common enemy coronavirus, the political parties have come forward in providing voluntary services to people affected with the pandemic. While the opposition BJP has launched Sewa Hi Sangathan phase 2, ruling party Congress too has launched helpline numbers reaching out to masses. The BJP through its helpline number 8102925807 which is functional round the clock is helping people from providing medical aid, to delivery of foods and medicines among others.
The BJP launched its helpline number on Wednesday. State BJP president Deepak Prakash said, “On the first day of launch the helpline number received around 900 calls from seeking medical assistance to arrangement of beds in hospital, oxygen cylinder among others. On the first day we arranged beds for ten patients at different hospitals. ”
The BJP helpline number is becoming advantageous to people in providing necessary information and assistance to the people about the facilities of beds, ventilators and general beds etc. Arranging necessary medicines for people at their homes, for those houses which have become infected or there is no person to bring the medicine from the market. The party has also provided names and mobile number of doctors who can provide medical guidance. The names are Dr. Tushar Arya 9334152192, Dr. Mahesh 9431628295, Dr. Ramji Prasad 9576127347, Dr. Sunil Aggarwal 9937460669. The BJP Yuva Morcha is also helping people with providing oxygen cylinders to medicines to others.
Also, with the surge in corona cases, the state BJP has constituted coordination teams at district level. The coordination teams will provide all necessary assistance to people right from making a contact with doctors and hospital management. The team will provide all assistance from providing oxygen, medicines to people affected with pandemic.
Moreover, the Covid 19 relief monitoring committee constituted by the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee is also providing medical help to Corona-infected patients and their families in various districts of the state. The Helpline number service with its control room in State Congress headquarters people from Ranchi, Koderma, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh received assistance through the helpline.
State Congress president Rameshwar Oraon said that during the current global epidemic, human service work is being done by the party workers.
On the instructions of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, the state level control room has started functioning and now soon the control room will start functioning in all the districts as well. He said that on Thursday more than 56 people were provided necessary assistance through the helpline services. He said that the party has resolved to wipe the tears of every poor and the state government is also constantly working to provide help to the people. He said that after Health Secretary KK Sone also became corona positive, it has been a bit difficult, but the department is providing all possible help to the people during this pandemic.
