Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday directed the Home Department to complete the process of recruitment of 10,000 police personnel immediately.
The CM also directed the officials to prepare a list such jail inmates who have been put in jail for minor crimes and are economically backward so that a committee could be formed for their release. He also ordered to submit a report within a week in this regard.
According to the CM, the investors will come only after a control over law and order is done in the State. Tourism in the State could also be promoted after the control over law and order. The CM was addressing a review meeting of Home Department on Tuesday.
lauding the police department for peaceful conduct of Panchayat Elections in the state, the Chief Minister said that action against organised crime is a must and ordered all the district police in the state to take proper action after identifying them.
The CM added that there is a need to carry out the monitoring of every trial from micro level. “Through this, it is ensured that the culprits will be punished,” he said. The CM also stressed on taking legal action to check financial sources of the criminal.
