Unlike its partner Congress, the JMM believes in projecting a leader of the coalition ahead of going into polls and there should be no confusion on the issue. The party at the same time also made it clear that the said leader is none other than incumbent Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
“We believe that an unambiguous leader of a coalition is a must. It is necessary to provide a clear direction to the entire campaign. The party has no doubt in its mind that our leader would be the leader of the coalition and this is the Chief Minister,” said JMM general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya.
The JMM is still in preliminary stages of discussion with its partners including, Congress on seat sharing issue as the polls are expected in November-December. Though the leader maintained that when all the parties in the alliance sit together there would be no confusion over seats. “The final round of consultation on the issue would take place after October 20,” he added.
