PNS

Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday demanded Rs2530 crore from the Centre for 41 roads projects in the State. The CM has requested Union Home Ministry and Transaport Ministry to arrange the funds so that naxal affected areas might get new roads. The DPR of the roads has already been prepared.  Requesting the Union Government Das stated that 21 out of 24 districts of the State were Maoist affected and in this condition if good roads were absent common masses had to face a lot of difficulties. “The State Government considers that the economic and social development of Naxal infested areas can be boosted with development of good network of roads. The Union Government had launched first phase of Road Requirement Plan (RRP) in eight naxal affected states of the country in the year 2009-2010. And the Union Minister of Transport had also reviewed the RRP in the Raipur meeting recently and he had said that the RRP-2 will be launched soon,” the CM said.
