PNS

Breaking silence over tricking students in the name of providing jobs, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday gave assent to CBI enquiry into such cases. The CM also instructed concerned Deputy Commissioners to link such victims with self-employment schemes.

Soren said making innocents tricked to work in activities such as Naxals, smuggling of arms and duping unemployed youths is a serious offence and instructed the concerned authorities to apprise him of actions taken in 15 days.

One person has been arrested in connection with the case while Director P Dinesh alias Dineshwar Prajapati of the coaching institute is still evading arrest. The Director is said to be a resident of Banta village in Silli.

Few days back, a Kantatoli Based institute, Digdarshan, came under scanner for luring students in the name of providing jobs under schemes meant for rehabilitating Naxals shunning the path of violence to join mainstream society.

Soren said making poor and unemployed youths surrender as a Naxal under the Rehabilitation Policy raises serious questions over the State Government’s anti-Naxal programmes.

Soren also termed the fraud unfortunate, considering the background of the

victims. The CM said those youths who have been duped belong to tribal and backward community and portraying them as Naxals will send a wrong signal.

Interestingly, the CM also indicated towards arms smuggling besides duping people of lakhs of Rupee. Soren said unobstructed smuggling of arms in the naxal affected State is cause of concern. The accused institution has brought disrepute to the rehabilitation policy for naxals, added Soren.

According to reports, the Director in cahoots with some unknown people in CRPF managed to send enrolled students to jail. The students were also provided arms and CRPF’s uniform by an accomplice of Dineshwar.

Students of the institute were allowed to wear the uniform and venture into their village as an employee of the para-military force after serving eight days in prison thus making other innocent villagers to approach the institute.

Police has so far seized one computer from the institute which reportedly contains complete details of students enrolled with the institute and money deposited by them to get job.
