Looking at the soft corner Santhal Pargana region possesses towards Jharkhand Mukti Morcha traditionally, Shibu Soren and his family in particular, Chief Minister Raghubar Das chose the land of Santhal Pargana to launch scathing attack against the main Opposition party.
Addressing villagers of Sisunia of Ramgarh block of Dumka on Monday the CM termed the political family as looter of land in the State in the name of tribals.
“During the last elections JMM leaders misled you that BJP would loot all tribal land if comes to power. Four years have passed has land of any of you been taken away? In fact it was the Soren family that has looted the maximum land belonging to tribals and moolvasis than anyone else. How it is possible that a person resident of Gola purchased tribal land at Dumka despite the STP Act being in force,” said the CM.
He went on alleging that the family has purchased lands at Patana of Sahibgunj, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Deoghar, Dumka, Ranchi and several other places and questioned the source of their income. “I have my home at one place at Jamshedpur and no other place. The family has just befooled you people by playing with your sentiments,” accused the CM.
Talking about incumbent MLA of Jama Sita Soren who also comes from the Soren family, Das charged her residing in Ranchi all the time. “You should choose your representative who can stand with you in the need of hour. But you voted the person who lives in Ranchi all the time. Have you committed a mistake or not? Now you should correct this mistake and choose any local irrespective of the party your MLA next time,” the CM said accusing the JMM leaders for filling their coffers after coming to power.
He on the occasion assured the people of the region that about 25000 households which are yet to be connected with power would be connected by the December 31 as per the goal set and blamed previous coalition regimes for the mess created in the State. The CM at the same time urged them to go for stable Government in future for the betterment of Jharkhand.
