Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday inspected the Jharkhand Pavilion, set up during the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2015 in Gandhinagar. Das was quite influenced with the developmental projects carried out in the State, especially in the field of drinking water and irrigation. The CM also took information from technical experts and officials of Narmada Water Resources Department who explained him about the improved irrigation facilities and pipelines laid for the utilisation of Narmada water.
Das praised the changes brought in the day-to-day lives of the people of Gujarat by making arrangements of Narmada water for them. “Officials and engineers of Jharkhand will study the arrangements made in the field of irrigation and drinking water. Officials of Gujarat will also be invited to Jharkhand in order to make them aware of the ground realities seeking suggestions from them. A new direction could be given to water harvesting and proper solution could be chalked out with mutual coordination in the field of water crisis in the State,” said the CM.
