Gearing up for the Parliament elections, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday held marathon meeting of the party office bearers, MLAs, Lok Sabha in-charge, district presidents and other senior leaders to discuss preparations regarding general elections at party headquarter.
Das flanked by senior leaders of party participated at separate meeting with party workers and leaders assigning them task for general elections. Das asked the party workers, senior leaders and MLA to make effort to win all 14 seats in State so as to achieve BJP president Amit Shah ‘Abhi Baar 400 ke Paar’ slogan. The BJP national president this time has coined a new slogan for 2019 elections ‘Abhi Baar 400 ke Paar’. The number 400 in the BJP’s slogan refers to the Lok Sabha seats the party aims to win. In the 2014 elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had won 336 parliamentary seats out of 543 and the BJP alone had won 282 seats.
Deepak Prakash, State BJP general secretary said, “Chief Minister had given the task to party workers and senior leaders to win all 14 seats which will help the party to achieve the target of 400 seats.”
Prakash said, “MLAs have been asked to ensure that NDA candidates get maximum votes from their respective assemblies.” In State NDA has 46 MLAs which includes 43 BJP MLAs and four AJSU. Prakash said, “MLAs, district presidents and Lok Sabha in-charges have been asked to ensure coordination with party workers at booth and mandal level for poll victory of candidates.”
Das asked the BJP cadres to give maximum focus at booth level the vision of BJP president Amit Shah Booth Jeeto, Chunav Jeeto (win booths, win the polls).
The CM asked the BJP cadres to go to people on development, defence and self-respect of the country the main issues of party in general elections.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister in the afternoon participated at BJP workers meet at Dumka where he targeted JMM as biggest exploiter of people in Santhal region. Das said, “The JMM is the biggest violator of CNT and SPT Act in state as Soren family has illegally acquired tribal lands in State.”
