Chief Minister Raghubar Das has asked Woman and Child Welfare Department to simplify the process of payment related to ‘Anganwari’ Sevikas so that work does not get hampered and children get regular supply of nutritious food. Taking up the complaints during ‘Seedhi Baat’ Programme at Suchna Bhawan on Tuesday, Das also directed latehar DC to pay compensation of Rs 1 lakh and a government job to wife of Surendra Munda within a week who got killed by the Maoists in 2015.
“Why such a delay in the payment of compensation despite the fact that the incidents has taken place in 2015 itself. I will not tolerate delays in such cases…ensure that the girl gets her due along with Government job within a week,” said the Chief Minister.
Daughter of Surendra Munda of Dhoti village in Chandwa Block of latehar, had registered a complaint that her mother Vimla Devi had not been given any compensation even after two years of making application for it.
In another case of delay in the payment of ‘Anganwari’ Center in Palamu under Patan Block due to which children were not being given nutritious foods from quite some time, Das directed officials to simplify the process of payment in order to avoid mediators.
“Ensure such an arrangement that the process gets simplified and the mediators are not allowed in between the Government and the Anganwari staffs,” the CM said. Never take the issue of providing nutritious foods to the ‘Anganwari’ staffs for granted, he added.
Hearing the complaint filed by Samsul Ansari of lohardaga, the CM directed officials to ensure recovery of money within a week and take action against those found involved into it. Ansari had registered a complaint with Jan Samwaad Kendra that illegal withdrawal of money had been done for construction of a well for irrigation purposes but neither the well was dug nor did the labourers were paid.
Earlier, Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar informed that the most of the cases related to private land was being registered with Jan Samvaad Kendra while maximum complaints are coming from Giridh District and Revenue and land Reforms Department.
“There has been 12 per cent increase in the number of complaints in the last six months out of which 12 per cent of them have been registered on line,” said Kumar. There has also been a 380 per cent rise in registration of complaints through social media, he added.
