Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday informed the House that tomorrow is Women's Day as well as the festival of Ramadan is going on. It is also Holi, so that there is a smile on the faces of women on the festival, the amount of Maiya Samman will start going to their account. The amount will go to the account of all the women before Holi. The CM said that the errors related to this have been removed. Earlier, many MLAs had urged the government in the House to tell by when the amount of Mahila Samman Yojana will go to the account of women.
Also in the Assembly, Minister of Rural Development and Rural Works Department Deepika Pandey Singh has assured that the PESA law will soon be implemented for the tribal areas of the state. She said that the PESA manual was made in 2022 itself. A total of 262 suggestions came on it. Out of these, 145 suggestions have been included in the manual. The manual is being finalized. After discussion with the Chief Minister, it will be finalized and the PESA law will be implemented in the state. Deepika Pandey Singh was responding to the discussion on the grant demands of Rural Development, Rural Works, Panchayati Raj and Forest and Environment Department in the House on Friday. Amid the boycott of the opposition, the grant demand of Rs 9841 crore 41 lakh 61000 of the Rural Development Department was passed by voice vote.
Deepika Pandey Singh assured to take steps to stop the developing trend of getting the work done under petty contracts by taking the roads of the Rural Works Department at less than the scheduled rate. She said that a proposal to this effect will be passed in the cabinet soon. During the discussion, the members said that the contractors are taking tenders at below rate. Then giving it on a petty contract. Due to this, the quality of road construction is not good. Also, the work is not getting completed on time.
Deepika Pandey Singh assured the House that the vacant posts of the Rural Development and Works Department will be filled soon. Whether it is an approved government post or the post of contract workers.
The minister said that now the beneficiaries of Abua Awas can do geo tagging from their mobiles themselves. They will not have to get entangled in the hassles of the Panchayat Secretary.
Meanwhile, in another development on being elected as the leader of the BJP Legislative Party and becoming the Leader of the Opposition, Jharkhand Congress MLA Irfan Ansari met Babulal Marandi in the Assembly and congratulated and wished him. On this occasion, Irfan Ansari said, "It is my wish that this new responsibility of yours proves to be helpful in strengthening democracy and a strong opposition. Also, I expect that the ruling party will get full support of the opposition on the decisions taken in the interest of the state."
He also wished Babulal Marandi a bright tenure and expressed hope that his leadership ability will lead to positive debate and a constructive opposition in the Assembly.
