The sand mafia of UP is very active in Garhwa district. Hundreds of trucks come here every day to collect sand. In the district, dozens of legal and illegal ghats carry sand in trucks by overloading them. Sand is being sold for 60 to 80 thousand rupees per truck. Sand is lifted from the Ghats of Garhwa at cheap rates, in such a situation a lot of profit is being made in this business.
